Maintenance information for screen press machine
1、 Equipment Overview
Screen press is the core equipment for LCD screen maintenance,
mainly used for precision operations such as screen bonding and bonding.
Common types include TAB screen press and COG screen press. Its core
function is to repair screen display or touch layer faults through precise alignment and pressure control.
2、 Common faults and maintenance methods
1. Inaccurate alignment issue
Symptom: Image deviation or misalignment of lines after fitting.
Repair steps:
Use photographic images or microscopic cameras to check the alignment r
eference points, ensuring accurate adjustment of front back and left and right balance.
If the COF (chip flexible circuit) module shrinks due to heat, the bonding parameters
need to be adjusted according to the heating expansion characteristics of the
cutting head, so that the ITO circuit and the copper foil circuit completely overlap.
Cut the PTFE sheet to cover the COF module, ensuring that the blade
completely covers the hot pressing area when it descends, to avoid displacement.
2. Problem of fitting bubbles
Symptom: Small bubbles appear on the screen after fitting.
Repair steps:
Prioritize using a vacuum bonding machine for initial bonding to ensure that
the environmental cleanliness meets the standard.
Residual bubbles need to be treated with a defoamer, and equipment with
constant temperature heating and pressure regulation functions should be
selected to avoid secondary damage.
3. Driver IC malfunction
Symptoms: Horizontal and vertical lines, gray screen or blurred screen phenomenon.
Repair steps:
Disassemble damaged COF or TAB modules, first soften the adhesive with a
removal solution, then heat horizontally with a hot air gun and gently remove with tweezers.
Clean the electrode surface by repeatedly scrubbing with acetone and a dust-free
cloth to ensure there is no residual adhesive.
When rebinding a new module, use ACF conductive adhesive to bond it, heat and
press it with a pre press machine, and then accurately align it with a microscope camera.
Core equipment: Screen press machine (with temperature control function)
Consumables: OCA optical adhesive, PTFE sheet, ACF conductive adhesive,
dust-free cloth, cleaning agent acetone.
4、 Operation precautions
Environmental requirements: Maintenance should be carried out in a clean room
