Fault phenomenon: The screen displays a rainbow band
Fault analysis; The display of rainbow stripes on the screen is mainly caused by the following reasons
1、COF damage, caused by chip heating, aging, IC loosening, and other reasons
during long-term operation, usually only requires replacing the corresponding COF.
This common fault is mostly caused by screens such as Sharp, LG, BOE, etc.
2、 The ITO electrode on the edge plate is damaged, mostly due to electrode breakage.
For such faults, they can generally be directly observed by holding a magnifying glass
or microscope to observe the ITO electrode on the edge plate. Generally, after damage,
the electrode will turn black, and the cause of the sample fault is mostly due to liquid injection.
3、 The soft ribbon cable is damaged and has poor contact. If the soft ribbon cable ages,
the electrode is broken, or the buckle is loose and not in place, it is easy to produce
rainbow bands. This phenomenon is mostly caused by Sharp or Chi Mei screens.
4、 The logic board is damaged, and most of the rainbow bands that appear when the logic
board is damaged are adjacent. If two or three COF positions have problems at the same time,
it means that all COFs in the same group will display abnormalities. This is a fault caused
by damage to the upper row of the logic board, which often occurs on Sharp screens.
