Fault analysis: Screen broadband refers to the phenomenon of color change, image movement, etc. on the screen display within a COF range; The main reasons for broadband failures are as follows:;
1、 The edge board adhesive is loose, and the ACF adhesive is aged and loose. To determine if the adhesive is aged and loose, use a cotton swab to scrape the electrode position of the edge board left and right. If there are changes in the picture, it is mostly due to adhesive aging. Re bonding is sufficient.
2、 If the COF is damaged and there is no change in the position of the board when scraped with a cotton swab, press the COF and IC positions with a cotton swab to see if there is any change in the fault. If there is any change, the fault is caused by the chip loosening of the COF under high temperature. Replace the COF.
3、 The edge plate is damaged, usually caused by ITO breakage (gold finger breakage). To determine if the edge plate is damaged, you can use a microscope or handheld magnifying glass to observe the position of the gold finger on the edge plate. Generally, damaged electrodes will turn black, so replace the edge plate. Because the side panel is designed with multiple layers, electrode damage is often caused by liquid ingress. Simply breaking the surface of the electrode and flying the wire again may not be able to fly well. If there is an internal circuit break, even if all the surface electrodes are connected, it is useless. Therefore, it is generally best to replace the side panel with a new one if electrode corrosion occurs
